1. Overview

Jobney is a local-first job application organizer designed to help you track applications, interviews, tasks, messages, and interview preparation. We do not sell your personal information, use your job application content for advertising, or operate a separate account database for your job application content.

2. Information stored for you

To provide Jobney's features, the app stores content and preferences that you choose to create or provide, including:

• Job, company, position, compensation, link, and application status details
• Interviews, reminders, tasks, deadlines, notes, and message templates
• Job application analytics, insights, and progress activity
• Interview prep decks, questions, answers, scenarios, and confidence ratings
• App preferences and settings
• Subscription entitlement information made available by Apple

3. How your information is used

Your information is used to organize your job applications, display job application analytics and insights, schedule reminders, maintain interview prep progress, remember your preferences, sync compatible data when enabled, and determine access to premium features. Jobney does not use your content to build advertising profiles.

4. Local storage and iCloud sync

Core app data is stored on your device. When iCloud is available and enabled, compatible data may sync through your private iCloud account using Apple's infrastructure. Your iCloud usage is controlled by your Apple ID and device settings. Jobney does not operate a separate server or user account database for your job application content.

5. App Store purchases

In-app purchases, subscriptions, renewals, billing, and refunds are processed by Apple through the App Store. Jobney does not collect or store your full payment card details. Apple may provide limited transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock purchased features. Apple's privacy policy and terms apply to App Store transactions.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information may be handled by Apple as necessary to provide iCloud sync, App Store purchases, downloads, and related platform services. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights and safety.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your content remains on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud storage until you delete it. You can delete content within Jobney, remove local app data by deleting the app, and manage synced data through your iCloud settings. Deleting the app may not automatically remove data already stored in iCloud.

8. Your controls

You can manage iCloud access, notifications, and device permissions in iOS Settings. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID's App Store subscription settings. Available controls may vary by device and operating system version.

9. Children's privacy

Jobney is intended for people managing a job search and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

10. Security

Jobney keeps your content on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud account. Your data benefits from the security protections built into your Apple device, iOS, and iCloud. Keeping your device software updated and protecting your Apple ID helps keep your information secure.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Jobney evolves or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when changes are posted. Continued use of Jobney after an update means the revised policy applies to your use of the app.
